Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions you might be asking yourself about Tumbleroo. We'll keep this updated as much as possible!

When I reblog a post, it's automatically tweeted. How do I make that stop?

Tumbleroo makes it possible to reblog a post with just one tap. That makes it super tempting to reblog a lot, which is great except when you're sending out several tweets a minute. To disable automatic tweeting each time you post to your blog, log into Tumblr, click on the "Customize" link, then click on the "Services" tab, and finally uncheck the box labeled "Send my Tumblr posts to Twitter."

We are working on a solution that will allow you to control reblog by reblog whether you tweet or not. We hope to have that update out to you in a very short while.

Can I upload photos to my blog with Tumbleroo?

Yes! We've added this feature in version 1.0.1.

Why can't I use [insert favorite Tumblr feature] in Tumbleroo?

Tumbleroo depends on Tumblr's API, or application program interface. That's techno-speak for the way Tumbleroo communicates with Tumblr and your Dashboard. Tumblr's API does not offer all of the functionality you get by using the Tumblr website. As a result, there's no way for us to offer those features. As Tumblr's API is improved and more functionality is made available through it, we intend to update Tumbleroo to make them available.

Some of the features that you might miss include:

If you'd like to see us add these features to Tumbleroo, please tell Tumblr that you'd like to see them added to their API.
